Batman Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu 2014 yılı özel yetenek sınavı sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı; Batman Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu 2014 yılı özel yetenek sınavı sonuçları değerlendirilerek, yerleştirme puanını belirlemede kullanılan yöntemi ve sonuç ilişkilerini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, özel yetenek sınavına giren adaylar üç grupta incelenmiştir. Yerleşen 86 (% 19,50), yerleşemeyen 228 (% 65,31), elenen 67 (% 15,19) olmak üzere sınava giren toplam aday sayısı 441 (% 100)’dir. 441 adaydan 113 (% 25,6)’i kadın, 328 (% 74,4)’i de erkektir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; hem erkeklerde hem de kadınlarda yerleştirme puanı üzerinde Özel Yetenek Sınav Puanı (ÖYSP)’nın Yüksek Öğretime Geçiş Sınavı (YGS) puanından daha fazla etkili olduğu, erkeklerde ÖYSP tek başına Yerleştirme Puanı (YP) üzerinde etkinliği ile ön plana çıkarken, kadınlarda buna ek olarak ağırlıklı Ortaöğretim Başarı Puanı (OBP)’nın da YP üzerinde önemli etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Koordinasyon sınavı sonucu kimi yüksek YGSP ve Sporcu Özgeçmişi Puanı (SÖP)’na sahip adayların elendiği görülmüş, koordinasyon baraj süresinin uzatılması ve üç deneme hakkının verilmesi gibi bazı öneriler gündeme getirilmiştir.

This study aims analyzing special ability exam results of year 2014 at Batman University School of Physical Education and Sports in order to investigate connections between the method of determining acceptance score and results of admittance to the college. In the study, the examinees are investigated in three groups. There were a total of 441 (100%) candidates of which 86 (19.50%) were admitted, 228 (65.31%) were not allowed, and 67 (15.19%) were disqualified. 113 (25.6%) of the candidates were women and 328 (74.4%) of the 441 candidates were men. The study results showed that, for both men and women Special Ability Exam Score (ÖYSP) was more effective than to Higher Education Transition Exam (YGS) score; where for men ÖYSP’s weight was more effective on the placement score (YP); and for women, additionally, the High School Grade Point Average (OBP) had an important effect on their YP. After the coordination exam, it was seen that some candidates with good YGS results and Athlete Resume Score (SÖP) were disqualified, given that, an extended time limit and an allowing candidates to try the coordination exam three times were suggested.
