The different heavy metals were determined in commercial yogurts by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP–OES). Concentrations of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), boron (B), molybdenum (Mo), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni) and lead (Pb) were measured by ICP–OES; Varian Vista-Pro, Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia.
