It is widely believed that lime stones used in Harran city wall and Great Mosque taken from Bazda Stone Quarry. Therefore archaeometric analysis of Harran and Bazda Stone Quarry carried out. Beside this answer of this questions ques tioned through using archaeometry: Lead remains searched in basalt architectural stones because the aim of channels carved on the stones was questioned if they were used for lead clamp or ornament aim. Moreover chemical composition of red color in Great Mosque niche analyzed. At the result of analysis it is understood that many of Harran lime stones come from Bazda Stone Quarry, channels on basalts were made for clamp aim because of high lead level. Red color chemical composition in Great Mosque niche is determined from its high sulfur (S) content.
