Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; resmi ortaöğretim kurumları içerisinde spor liselerinin profilinin çeşitli
nicel değişkenler açısından betimlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma betimsel nitelikte tarama
modelinde olup, araştırmada doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın dokümanını
Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB) tarafından yayımlanan “Örgün Eğitim 2018-2019 Millî Eğitim
İstatistikleri” oluşturmaktadır. İstatistiklerden sadece resmi ortaöğretim (genel+mesleki) kurumları ile
spor liselerine ait veriler inceleme kapsamına alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde sayı ve yüzde değerleri
kullanılmış, spor liselerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından resmi ortaöğretim kurumları içerisindeki yeri
belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde; spor liselerinin genel ve mesleki resmi ortaöğretim
okul/kurumları içerisinde okul olarak %0.87, derslik sayısı olarak %0.52, öğrenci sayısı olarak
%0.46’lık bir yer tutmaktadır. Genel ve mesleki resmi ortaöğretim kurumlarında toplam 151.151
erkek ve 144.179 kadın olmak üzere toplam 295.330 öğretmen görev yaparken, spor liselerinde bu
sayı 851 erkek ve 481 kadın olmak üzere toplam 1.332’dir. 2018 yılı itibarı ile genel ve mesleki lise
çıkışlılarından yükseköğretim kurumları sınavına (YKS) 2.376.872 öğrenci başvururken, spor lisesi
çıkışlı öğrencilerinden 4.540 başvuru yapılmıştır. YKS’ye başvuran genel ve mesleki lise çıkışlı
öğrencilerinin %16.61’i lisans, %13.28’i önlisans, %6.15’i açıköğretim programlarına yerleşmiştir.
YKS’ye başvuran spor lisesi öğrencilerinin ise %1.28’i lisans, %7.91’i önlisans, %1.92’si açıköğretim
programlarına yerleşmiştir.
The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of sports high schools among the official secondary education institutions in terms of different variables. This is a descriptive survey model and document analysis method was used in the research. The study document is composed of “Formal Education 2018-2019 National Education Statistics” published by the Ministry of National Education (MEB). Among the statistics, only data belonging to official secondary (general+vocational) education institutions and sports high schools were included in the analysis. Numerical and percentage values were used in the data analysis and the place of sports high schools among the official secondary education institutions was attempted to be determined in terms of different variables. Following the study, sports high schools rank among the general and vocational official secondary schools/institutions with a 0.87% as a school, 0.52% as the number of classrooms and 0.46% as the number of students. A total of 295.330 teachers composed of 151.151 males and 144.179 females work in general and vocational official secondary education institutions while this number is 1.332 in total composed of 851 males and 481 females in sports high schools. As of 2018, 2.376.872 graduates from general and vocational high schools have applied the higher education institutions exam (YKS) while 4.540 applications have been received from the sports high schools. Among the students being graduates of general and vocational high schools who have applied to YKS, 16.61% of them have got into undergraduate program, 13.28% into associate degree program and 6.15% into the open education program. 1.28% of the sports high school students who have applied to YKS have got into the undergraduate program, 1.97% into the associate degree program and 1.92% into the open education program.
