Nowadays, natural gas, which widely used especially in houses for heating, has been considered as enviromentally and important alternative engine fuel owing to high combustion efficiency; own reserves more than fossil oil in the world and more cheaper than fossil oil. In this study, natural gas reserves, storage and usage methods in vehicles, applications in different engine technologies have been investigated. In addition, negative and positive aspects have been evaluated resulting from the use of natural gas in internal combustion engines.
