Öğe General conditions, problems and expectations of Syrian migrants in Turkey(Akademisyen Kitabevi, 2019-06-17) Türk, Emrullah; Nerse, SerdarThe directors of Academician Publishing House, have been conducting their commercial activities for a long time by transferring their 30 years of broadcasting experience to their legal entities. In the said period, it was proud to publish 750 books, particularly health and social sciences, cultural and artistic topics. The Academician, that defines the platform of being an international publishing house, is in the pursuit of creating a global brand in addition to broadcasting in Turkish and foreign languages. The books, which are considered as permanent documents of scientific and intellectual studies, are the witnesses of hundreds of years as an information recording platform. The future of the book, which has built on a solid basis with the invention of the printing press, will certainly have a place in our lives for a long period of time, even though it has moved into orbit of new inventions. Academician Publishing House has started the process of publishing books in international quality and quantity with its own name of “Scientific Research Book” series in Turkish and English. The publication process, which will take place in March and September every year, will continue with thematic sub titles. We owe to our thanks to all of our researchers who supported this process, which was starting with about 30 books, and to everyone in the backgroundÖğe Problems of Syrian refugees living in the city centres and solution offers: the case of Batman(IJOPEC Publication, 2017-06) Türk, Emrullah; Nerse, SerdarThis study has been done specifically in Batman in order to analyse social problems of Syrian refugees who were forced to migrate to Turkey because of the war in Syria. Interviews have been conducted with some Syrians who live in the city centre. This research which is needed to be conducted to find out the effects of the war on the refugees aims to investigate their problems in social life and to suggest some possible solutions. Through using a semi-structured interview as the data instrument, Syrian refugees living in Batman city centre have been found to have several problems, thus some possible solutions to these problems have been recommended in this studyÖğe The role of non-governmental organizations in the orientation period of Syrian refugees living in city centers: the case of Batman(IJOPEC Publication, 2017-06) Türk, EmrullahThis study discusses the impacts of non-governmental organizations on the socio-economic and cultural adaptation process of the Syrians who migrated to Turkey due to conflicts in their countries and whose number approached 3 million. In addition to public institutions and organizations, many non-governmental organizations have been carrying out activities in order to remove the traces of the destruction caused by the war in Syria and to provide a hope for worthy life for people. The study is based on the interviews with representatives of non-governmental organizations working to improve the living conditions of Syrian refugees who are about twenty thousand in Batman province. The results showed that the activities carried out by non-governmental organizations in Batman are important at the adaptation process of asylum seekers; however, they have been claimed to be inadequate and invisible due to many reasons such as ambiguity about the status of refugees, limitations of opportunities and concerns about rising awareness on these people. With the awareness that will be provided by using the information about the activities of non-governmental organizations in the field, contributing to create potentials on the issue is one of the main aims of this study.Öğe The comparative analysis of outgoings for R&D activities in Turkey for 2014(Elsevier, 2016-09) Türk, Emrullah; Elitok, Yavuz; Karhan, GökhanExpenses for R&D activities and the expenses which are done for these activities and its portion in GDP is the key to developed the economy of the country and the ability to make an innovation. Theoretically, including R&D studies into economic growth was done by the studies of Romer and Lucas in between 1986-1988. Remaining competing conditions with globalizations and technology-intensity production have necessitated to give more importance to R&D activities. Technological innovations can increase the competitiveness of a company; it expands the share of the market. It has tried to be identified by examining the expenses of R&D in public, mercantile establishments and universities in Turkey for the year 2014 that which expense isn’t enough and which expense should be doubled. As a result, it will be easier to develop new solutions.
