Özet
Avrupa Birliği günümüzde 27 üyesi olan ekonomik yönden güçlü uluslar üstü bir örgüttür. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Soğuk Savaş döneminin Avrupa entegrasyonuna olan etkilerini incelemektir. Bu bağlamda öncelikle Soğuk Savaş’ı ortaya çıkaran sebeplere ve Soğuk Savaş dönemine bakılmıştır. Daha sonra Soğuk Savaş döneminin yarattığı tehditle beraber Batı Avrupalı devletlerin ekonomik ve siyasi düzeni sağlamak adına yaptığı entegrasyon hareketinin tarihçesine kısaca yer verilmiştir. Soğuk Savaş’ın yarattığı çift kutuplu sistemde batı kanadını oluşturan ABD’nin Avrupa entegrasyonuna yönelik yaptığı politikalar anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Son olarak Soğuk Savaş’ın Avrupa ortak politikalarına olan etkisine yer verilmiştir.
Today, the European Union is an economically powerful supranational organization with 27 members. The main purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the Cold War period on European integration. In this context, first of all, the reasons that led to the Cold War and the Cold War period were examined. Then, with the threat created by the Cold War period, the history of the integration movements made by Western European states in order to ensure economic and political order was briefly included. The policies of the USA, which constitutes the western wing in the bipolar system created by the Cold War, towards European integration were tried to be explained. Finally, the impact of the cold war on European common policies is given.
