dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, orijinali Jean Savuaget tarafından yazılan ve Claude Cahen tarafından gözden geçirilerek başta Fransızca daha sonra İngilizce olarak yayınlanan "Introduction to the History of the Muslim East" adlı bibliyografik eserin Türkçeye "Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş" adıyla tercümesi yapılmış, tanıtılmış ve değerlendirilmiştir. Eser; İslamiyet'in öncesinden 1960'lı yıllara kadar Müslüman Doğu ile ilgili yazılmış birçok eserin tanıtımını yapmaktadır. Bu haliyle, Müslüman Dünyasını araştırmak isteyen araştırmacılar için değerli bir bibliyografik eser niteliğindedir. Böyle bir eserin, Arapça ve Farsça tercümeleri olmasına rağmen, Türkçe tercümesine rastlanmadığı için Türkçeye tercüme edilmiş ve tanıtımı yapılmıştır. Eser, İngilizcesinin bire-bir tercümesi olarak "Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş" adıyla Yüksek Lisans Tezi olarak hazırlanmıştır. Bu çalışma, Giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte Oryantalizm ile Jean Sauvaget ve Claude Cahen hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci Bölümde, Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş'in Çevirisi yer almaktadır, ikinci bölümde de Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş'in Değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the bibliographic work named as "Introduction to the History of the Muslim East" whose original form was written by Jean Savuaget and then revised and first published in French later in English by Claude Cahen was translated into Turkish by the name of "Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş" and introduced and evaluated. The work introduces numerous written works with regard to Muslim East before the birth of Islam to the 1960s. Thus, it is a valuable bibliographic work for the scientists wishing to search the Muslim World. Although this work has its Arabic and Persian translations, it was translated into Türkish since no Turkish translation of it was encountered. The name of the book is the direct translation of its English form as "Müslüman Doğunun Tarihine Giriş" which is prepared as master thesis. This work is of Introduction and two other parts: In the introduction part, general information about orientalism, Jean Savuaget and Claude Cahen was presented. In the first part, the translation of "Introduction to the History of the Muslim East" takes place. In the second part, the evaluation of the book has been doneen_US
