With the beginning of life, the process of getting used to death after birth has been shaped by leaving oneself to new behaviors. It is known that death rites are performed differently all over the world. Although the main purpose of these rites is known as the desire to make their loved ones comfortable after death, it has led each community to experience this ritual differently. As a result of the Christian belief in the Roman Empire and the concept of believing in the other world made itself felt in the society over time, the belief in the tomb traditions began to make itself felt and tried to shape the behavior. According to geographical suitability, the rock tomb tradition was seen all over Anatolia. In this study, rock tomb tradition and tomb finds in the Roman Empire were discussed. Within the scope of the study, rock tombs dating back to the Roman Empire period in Konakpınar (Aynqasre) Village of Kurtalan District were examined. The tomb typology of the place in this area, which was brought to the world of science by the archaeological excavation by the Batman Museum Directorate, was evaluated together with the gifts of the dead and the study was tried to be explained by comparing the tomb structures in the region.
