Bu makalede 1724 ve 1742 yıllarında Osmanlı Devleti tarafından Mescidü’l-Aksa ve Kubbetüs-Sahre
camilerinde planlı bir şekilde yapılan tamir ve onarım faaliyetleri ele alınmıştır. Yapılacak tamir ve
onarım çalışmasının planlaması için bu camilerde keşif yapılması amacıyla İstanbul’dan mimar veya
mimar halifesi görevlendirilmiştir. Görevli kişi tarafından camiler yerinde incelenerek yapılacak işlemler
ve tamir için gerekli malzemeler ve bunların çeşit ve sayısı ve tamirde çalışacak usta ve hamallar
belirlendikten sonra, bunların temin edileceği yerler de kayıt altına alınmış ve gerekenin yapılması için
görevlilere teslim edilmiştir. Görevliler tarafından gerekli malzemeler ilgili yerlerden temin edildikten
sonra gemilerle önce Yafa İskelesi’ne buradan ise Kudüs’e gönderilmiştir.
This article studies the repair and maintenance activities carried out in the Dome of Rock-Shahrur and Mescidü'l-Aqsa in a planned manner by the Ottoman Empire in 1724 and 1742. For the planning of the repair and maintenance work to be done, an architect or assistant master (caliph) from Istanbul was commissioned in order for the exploration of the mosques. The mosques were examined in place by the appointed person, and after works to be done, tools needed for the repair, their sorts and number, and masters and porters to be employed for the repair were assigned, the suppliers which would provide those were registered and submitted to the officials to do what is necessary. After being obtained from the relevant suppliers by the officials, the necessary materials were first sent to Jaffa Pier and then to Jerusalem by ships.
