Öğe Batman ili köprülerinin mimari açıdan değerlendirilmesi ve tarihi yollarla ilişkisi(Türk Tarih Kurumu Yayınları, 2017-04) Güngör, Akarcan; Tokat, Muhammet ErşedÖğe Elazığ-Palu mezar taşı örnekleri üzerinden tipolojik bir değerlendirme(Trakya Üniversitesi, 2019-11) Öztürker, Hazal Ceylan; Tokat, Muhammet ErşedThis paper aims to discuss typologically evaluation of gravestones which are historical documents in the three graveyard areas in Palu city center and the gravestones in a tomb. The classification of the body, form and pediment types of the shahidahs (gravestones) with the establishment of the tombs in Palu and the comparison with the tombstones of the Ottoman period will eliminate an important deficiency regarding the cemetery culture of the period. It is possible to group the graves that are included in our study as shahidah, cistern, pehle stone and cover stone. Typically it was found that the shahidahs we considered within the declaration did not show great differences in form characteristics and it was understood that all of which had rectangular body parts showed some differences with the pediment and top parts. It is determined that the number of male graves with single protrusions is higher than the female graves with these rectangular shaped single or double teeth. Although 64% of the single protrudes are found in male gravestones they do not provide sufficient data to reach a definite conclusion, although they suggest that the protrusions were intended to indicate the gender of the people lying in the grave. As a result of the study, it is understood that Palu gravestones show great similarities in shape and content with the gravestones of Turkish-Islamic period in Anatolia. Typologically the most important difference of the tombs which are divided into groups such as shahidahs, cisterns, pehle and cover stones were found as the protrusions on the peaks of the shahidahs. In terms of typological and content characteristics of Palu gravestones concluded that the Ottoman grave culture had a significant influence on Palu as well as local culture because they had the same characteristics as the artifacts that emerged outside Anatolia and Anatolia during the Ottoman period.
