Öğe The effect of Plantago major Linnaeus on serum total sialic acid, lipid-bound sialic acid, some trace elements and minerals after administration of 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene in rats(SAGE, 2012-04) Oto, Gökhan; Ekin, Suat; Özdemir, Hülya; Levent, Abdulkadir; Berber, İsmetThe present study was designed to evaluate the effect of Plantago major Linnaeus (PM) extract on serum total sialic acid (TSA), lipid-bound sialic acid (LSA), some trace elements (copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) and iron) and mineral levels (magnesium, calcium and sodium) in Wistar albino rat administrated 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA). Rats were divided into three equal groups (n = 6). Group I comprised the control group, group II was treated with DMBA (100 mg/kg, single dose) and group III was treated with DMBA (100 mg/kg single dose) and aqueous extract of PM 100 mg/kg/day for 60 days. After 60 days, statistical analyses showed that TSA and LSA levels in DMBA and DMBA + PM groups were significantly higher compared to the control group (TSA: p < 0.01, p < 0.05; LSA: p < 0.05, p < 0.05, respectively). Serum Zn levels were decreased in subjects treated with DMBA (p < 0.01) and DMBA + PM (p < 0.05) compared to the control group values. Serum Cu levels were increased in DMBA group and PM-treated group compared to the control group values. The results of this investigation showed that the levels of TSA and LSA changed significantly, which are sensitive markers for detecting the toxic effects of DMBA. On the other hand, observed decline in Zn levels in rats from DMBA + PM group might be due to decreased generation of free radicals and oxidative stress. The structures of synthesized compounds were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and microanalysis. The electrochemical behaviors of the Schiff base ligands were also discussed. Moreover, the evaluation of absorption and emission properties of the structures were carried out in five different solvents. The products show visible absorption maxima in the range of 304-576 nm, and emission maxima from 636 to 736 nm in all solvents tested.Öğe Ag-doped HfO2 thin films via sol–gel dip coating method(Springer Nature, 2019-10-01) Pakma, Osman; Kaval, Şehmus; Kari̇per, İshak AfşinIn this study, undoped and Ag-doped HfO2 thin films were deposited on glass substrates by means of sol–gel dip coating method. These films were then thermally annealed at 500 °C for 1 h. The structural and optical properties of undoped and Ag-doped HfO2 thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction, UV–Vis spectrometry and scanning electron microscope. The results of this analysis were compared and interpreted with the results obtained in literature by various methods of coating with HfO2. The X-ray diffraction peaks of the films paired with monoclinic HfO2 crystalline peaks. The refractive indices of the films decreased with doping Ag, at 500 nm wavelengths. The optical band gap values of Ag-doped HfO2 thin films increased with doping Ag. İmge dokusuna duyarlı yeni yöntemlerdenbiri olanLawsDoku Enerji Ölçümü (Laws TEM) kullanılarak, iris dokusunun belirli yerelalanlarındanöznitelik vektörleri elde edilmiştir. kEn Yakın Komşu (k-NN) sınıflandırıcıparametrelerinden komşu sayısı(k) farklı değerlerde alınarak, elde edilen öznitelik vektörleri k-NN sınıflandırıcısı ile ayrıştırılmıştır. Farklı komşu sayılarına göre sisteminperformans değerlerikarşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak en yüksek ortalama performans,k-NNsınıflandırıcısınınk=1ve 2komşularıyapısında % 80.74olarak gözlemlenmiştir.Öğe Hydrothermal synthesis of magnetic nanocomposite from biowaste matrix by a green and one-step route: Characterization and pollutant removal ability(Elsevier, 2019-04) Sayğılı, HasanThis study aimed to produce an industrial waste-based novel magnetic nanocomposite (Fe@GPHC) by a facile and one-step hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) method. In order to characterize of Fe@GPHC, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), Scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM), and elemental (ultimate) analyses were applied. Characterization results showed that during the HTC process, the Fe nanoparticles (FeNPs) were successfully incorporated on biowaste matrix. In addition, the Fe@GPHC was used to test its adsorptive property. For this, methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) were selected as a simulated pollutant. A batch method was used to perform the adsorption experiments. The maximum adsorption capacity of Fe@GPHC was 11 mg g(-1) and 8.9 mg g(-1) for MB and MO, respectively. This study provides a feasible and simple approach to design and synthesis of high-performance functional magnetic material in a cost-effective way.Öğe Radiation dose estimation and mass attenuation coefficients ofcement samples used in Turkey(Elsevier, 2009-12-16) Damla, Nevzat; Çevik, Uğur; Kobya, Ali İhsan; Çelik, Ahmet; Çelik, Necati; Grieken, R. VanDifferent cement samples commonly used in building construction in Turkey have been analyzed for natural radioactivity using gamma-ray spectrometry. The mean activity concentrations observed in the cement samples were 52, 40 and 324 Bq kg−1 for 226Ra, 232Th and 40K, respectively. The measured activity concentrations for these radionuclides were compared with the reported data of other countries and world average limits. The radiological hazard parameters such as radium equivalent activities (Raeq), gamma index (Iγ) and alpha index (Iα) indices as well as terrestrial absorbed dose and annual effective dose rate were calculated and compared with the international data. The Raeq values of cement are lower than the limit of 370 Bq kg−1, equivalent to a gamma dose of 1.5 mSv y−1. Moreover, the mass attenuation coefficients were determined experimentally and calculated theoretically using XCOM in some cement samples. Also, chemical compositions analyses of the cement samples were investigated.Öğe Genelleştirilmiş sınırlı kararlılık bölgesi ile PI ve PID denetleyici tasarımı(Dicle Üniversitesi, 2017-03-01) Atiç, Serdal; Kaya, İbrahimBu çalışma, zaman gecikmeli kontrol sistemlerinin kararlılığı için tüm PI ve PID denetleyici parametre değerlerinin hesaplanmasında genelleştirilmiş bir yaklaşım önermektedir. Bu yaklaşımda yüksek mertebeden transfer fonksiyonlarının, birinci derece artı zaman gecikmeli transfer fonksiyonları ile modellenmesi gerekir. Elde edilen model ve denetleyici transfer fonksiyonları normalize edilerek PI denetleyici tasarımı için düzleminde sınırlı kararlılık bölgesi oluşturulur. Benzer şekilde PID denetleyici tasarımı için , ve düzlemlerinde sınırlı kararlılık bölgeleri oluşturulur. PI ve PID denetleyici parametre değerleri, elde edilen sınırlı kararlılık bölgeleri ile belirlenir. Bu yaklaşım sayesinde transfer fonksiyonunun her değişmesi ile sınırlı kararlılık bölgelerinin yeniden oluşturulmasına ihtiyaç duyulmaz. Elde edilen genelleştirilmiş sınırlı kararlılık bölgeleri ile tüm PI ve PID denetleyici parametre değerleri hesaplanabilir. Böylelikle bu yaklaşım şimdiye kadar literatürde bildirilmiş çalışmalara göre avantaj sağlar. Önerilen yaklaşımın kullanışlılığını açıklamak için örnek benzetimler verilmiştir.Öğe Koleksiyonların belgelenmesi(Kültürel Mirasın Dostları Derneği, 2016) Stiff, Matthew; Paolini, Anna; Migliorati, Beatrice Beccaro; Aydın, Mahmut; Bozkurttan, RamazanÖğe Şehir içi doğalgaz borularındaki kaynak hatalarının tahribatsız ve tahribatlı muayene yöntemleri ile incelenmesi(Mehmet BULUT, 2021-06-21) Adin, Hamit; Doğan, Adnan; Adin, Mehmet ŞükrüDoğalgaz boru hatlarının imalat ve montajı aşamasında yapılan kontroller kalite, insan, çevre güvenliği ve emniyet bakımından çok önemlidir. Bu nedenle çalışmamızda, Mardin ili şehir içinde kullanılan doğalgaz boru hatlarının birleştirme kaynakları API 1104 standardına göre tahribatsız yöntemle muayene edilmiştir. Tahribatsız muayene için doğalgaz boru hattında kullanılan API 5L X42 standardındaki çelik boruların kaynaklı birleşme yerlerinin radyografik resimleri çekilerek hataları tespit edilmiş ve çözümler geliştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Radyografik muayeneler sonucunda, birleştirme kaynağındaki hataların kullanılan elektrottan kaynaklandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, çalışma kapsamında borulardan alınan kaynaklı çekme numuneleri ile tahribatlı deneyler de yapılmıştır. Çekme deneyleri sonucunda, birleştirme kaynağı için en uygun elektrotun T2-Saf elektrotu olduğu görülmüştür.
