    Imine containing C2-Symmetric chiral half sandwich h6-p-cymene-Ru(II)- phosphinite complexes: Investigation of their catalytic activityin the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones

    New chiral C2-symmetric bis(phosphinite) ligands containing imine group were synthesized from 1-({[(1R,2R)-2-{[(2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methylidene] amino}cyclohexyl]- imino}methyl)- naphthalen-2-ol and two equivalents of Ph2PCl, (i-Pr)2PCl or (Cy)2PCl, in high yields. Binuclear C2-symmetric half sandwich η6-p-cymene-Ru(II) complexes of the chiral phosphinite ligands were synthesized by treating of [Ru(η6-p-cymene)(μ-Cl)Cl]2 with the phosphinites in 1:1 M ratio in CH2Cl2. Their catalytic activities in asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) were investigated for the reaction of acetophenone derivatives with isopropyl alcohol. The corresponding optically active secondary alcohols were obtained in excellent levels of conversion (96–99%) and moderate enantioselectivity (up to 60% ee). Among three complexes investigated, complex 4 was the most efficient one.

    Do low serum uch-l1 and tdp-43 levels indicate disturbed ubiquitin- proteosome system in autism spectrum disorder?

    Introduction: The mechanism of ubiquitination-related abnormalities causing neural development problems is still unclear. We examined the association between autism and serum transactive response DNAbinding protein-43 (TDP-43) and ubiquitin c-terminal hydrolase-L1 (UCH-L1) levels, both of which are members of the ubiquitinproteosome system. Methods: We measured serum levels of TDP-43 and UCH-L1 in 24 children with autism and 24 healthy children. Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) was used to assess symptom severity at admission. Results: The mean serum TDP-43 and UCH-L1 levels in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) were found to decrease compared to healthy controls (p<0.001, 506.21±780.97 ng/L and 1245.80±996.76 ng/L, respectively; 3.08±5.44 ng/mL and 8.64±6.67 ng/mL, respectively). A positive correlation between serum TDP-43 levels and UCH-L1 levels was found in the ASD group (r=0.947, n=24, p<0.001). The CARS score of children with ASD was 48.91 points (standard deviation [SD]: 5.82). Conclusion: Low serum levels of UCH-L1 and TDP-43 may reflect disturbed ubiquitination in autism.

    1579 Tarihli Mufassal Tahrir defterine göre Sigetvar Nahiyesi’nde sosyal ve iktisadi hayat

    Sigetvar, I. Süleyman’ın yaptığı son sefer sonucunda 1566 yılında Osmanlı topraklarına katılmış Macaristan’da bir kaledir. Fethedildikten sonra Budin Eyaleti’nin bir sancağı olan Sigetvar daha sonra müstakil bir eyalet durumuna gelmiştir. Bu makalenin amacı, arşivde bulunan 1579 yılına ait ilk mufassal tahrir defteri ışığında, reayanın hukuki durumu ve nüfusu hakkında bilgiler sunmaktır. Böylece, Sigetvar’ın Osmanlı hâkimiyetine geçmesi ile birlikte burada Osmanlı hâkimiyeti teşekkülü hakkında bilgi sahibi olunması amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın ana kaynağını Almanya Arşivi’nde “Munich Collections” da bulunan 1579 tarihli 138 Numara ile kayıtlı mufassal tahrir defteri oluşturmaktadır. III. Murad dönemine ait olan defterin ilk sayfasında “Defter-i Mufasall-ı Liva-i Sigetvâr bi- Dergâh-ı Âlî” ibaresi yer almaktadır. Bu defterde, 1579 yılında Osmanlı hâkimiyeti altında bulunan Sigetvar’ın idarî yapısı, nüfus, iskân, yetiştirilen ürünler ve alınan vergiler hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler mevcuttur.
