Bu bağlamda öncelikle yerel yönetimlerin günümüz yönetim sistemleri açısından nasıl bir anlam kazandığına kısaca yer verildikten sonra, dünyada yerel yönetimlerin nasıl bir gelişim sağladığı ve nihayetinde İngiltere ve Türkiye’de nasıl bir yerel yönetim sisteminin varlığı tartışılacaktır.Öğe Radiation dose estimation and mass attenuation coefficients ofcement samples used in Turkey(Elsevier, 2009-12-16) Damla, Nevzat; Çevik, Uğur; Kobya, Ali İhsan; Çelik, Ahmet; Çelik, Necati; Grieken, R. VanDifferent cement samples commonly used in building construction in Turkey have been analyzed for natural radioactivity using gamma-ray spectrometry. The mean activity concentrations observed in the cement samples were 52, 40 and 324 Bq kg−1 for 226Ra, 232Th and 40K, respectively. The measured activity concentrations for these radionuclides were compared with the reported data of other countries and world average limits. The radiological hazard parameters such as radium equivalent activities (Raeq), gamma index (Iγ) and alpha index (Iα) indices as well as terrestrial absorbed dose and annual effective dose rate were calculated and compared with the international data. The Raeq values of cement are lower than the limit of 370 Bq kg−1, equivalent to a gamma dose of 1.5 mSv y−1. Moreover, the mass attenuation coefficients were determined experimentally and calculated theoretically using XCOM in some cement samples. Also, chemical compositions analyses of the cement samples were investigated.Öğe The effects of interactive applications on visitors’ experience: a case of Gobeklitepe, Turkey(Social Sciences Studies Journal, 2018-12) Kozbe, Gülriz; Doğan, Mustafa; Dilek, Sebahattin EmreThe need for preservation and flexible exploration of historical artifacts generated increasing interest in using digital technologies in the cultural heritage context. This paper presents user interaction applications of a recent digital cultural heritage conservation and exploration project concerning one of the most famous heritage site “Göbeklitepe” in Turkey that is the oldest known human-made religious structure and added to the UNESCO’s World Heritage List by the year 2018 is 15 km away of northeast of the town Şanlıurfa. The project aims at enriching the visitor experience through modern digital technologies. Main modules include 3D scanning of the artifacts, information screen and mobile interaction with Augmented Reality (AR). AR has been developed to provide information about destinations and attractions. Because of the development of AR, tourists using AR can gain valuable experience without a tourist guide. There two aims of this study: 1) is to describe acceptance of a new technology such as AR and visiting intention for visitors who use AR at a heritage destination, 2) to measure tourists’ experiences of visiting historic sites. For this purpose, two scales were used for data collection. In accordance with the first aim of the study, the scale adapted by Chung, Han & Joun (2015) which is to explain visitors’ acceptance of AR based on the TAM. Secondly, Lee & Smith’s (2015) multiple-item scale was used to measure tourists’ experiences of visiting historic sites and museums. There are three dimensions in the first scale as perceived usefulness (5 items), perceived ease of use (3 items) and visit intention (2 items) visit intention (2 items) in accordance with the purpose of the study. On the other hand, the second scale involves natively 16 items under six dimensions. The findings offer important practical implications for historic sites and museums in relation to AR and experiential marketing. The findings show that the Augmented Reality applications have an important practical usefulness for the Göbeklitepe archeological site and particularly enriching of the visitor experience. The study shows that the AR applications impact on the visit intention of the visitors. The study is revealed that applications can be applied to enhance the attractiveness of the archeological sites, as Göbeklitepe, in many destinations.Öğe The influences of the interactive systems on museum visitors’ experience: A comparative study from Turkey(Journal of Tourism Intelligence and Smartness, 2019-06-28) Kozbe, Gülriz; Doğan, Mustafa; Dilek, Sebahattin EmreTo the effect, technologically advanced interactive systems, settled in modern-day museums research new ways to offer a positive experience to the visitors and encourage them to return, using modern communication and learning tools. Kurulan Halkevleri, Kıbrıs Türk toplumu için siyasi, sosyal, kültürel birçok etkinliğin gerçekleştirildiği ve önemli kararların alındığı bir merkez konumunda olmuştur.Öğe Karyotypes of the Mole Rats, genus Nannospalax (Palmer, 1903) (Spalacidae: Rodentia) populations in eastern Anatolia, Turkey(Research Affairs of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, 2012) Coşkun, Yüksel; Kaya, Alaettin; Ulutürk, Servet; Yürümez, Gökhan; Moradi, MohammadThe Spalacidae are Southeast European and East Mediterranean blind rodents, highly adapted for life underground. Their taxonomy needs a modern revision including chromosomal data as well as morphology. Mole rats of the family Spalacidae range over Turkey and approximately 30 karyotypes of Nannospalax complex inhabit. The diploid number of chromosome of Nannospalax ranges from 36 to 62. Also, fundamental number of chromosomal arms, NF values vary from 66 to 92 while the fundamental number of autosomal arms, NFa ranging from 62 to 88. Unfortunely, karyological studies of the Nannospalax populations on the territory of Turkey on the whole are far from being satisfactory. Karyological studies of this group may yield further chromosomal forms in Turkey, which has a wide range of climatic and biotic conditions and the boundaries of the distribution region of the known species might be determined. In this study, chromosomal forms of Nannospalax in East Anatolia (Erzurum, Kars and Ağrı province) were investigated. The materials of 16 specimens of Nannospalax were collected at 8 different localities in the region. Preparations of mitotic chromosomes were obtained from bone marrows by means of the general air-drying technique. Skins and skulls of specimens have been deposited at the Dicle University, Science Faculty Biology Department. We have identified two chromosomal forms of Nannospalax in East Anatolia of which have diploid chromosome numbers (2n) are 2n = 48 and 2n = 50Öğe Ecomuseum, community museology, local distinctiveness, Hüsamettindere village, Bogatepe village, Turkey(Emerald, 2015-05-18) Doğan, MustafaPurpose – The concept of sustainable development is now widely accepted as a means of protecting natural resources and cultural heritage. One approach to ensuring sustainability, especially in relation to cultural tourism, is the ecomuseum. Turkey has considerable potential to develop ecomuseological models to encourage local sustainable development. The purpose of this paper is to explore the development of ecomuseums in Turkey by analysing the recent implementation of the concept in Hüsamettindere and Bogatepe villages. Current practices at these two sites are evaluated in comparison with the basic principles of ecomuseum theory. Design/methodology/approach – This paper explores local community involvement in two emerging ecomuseums in Turkey based on several years of participant action research by the author; it describes the nature of the two ecomuseums based on that experience. In addition an in-depth survey was carried out between February and April 2013 by Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University when 45 local participants were interviewed for their views on the ecomuseum developments, using the MACDAB method (Borrelli et al., 2008) as a guide. Findings – Even though the two implementations in Turkey have different features deriving from their local dynamics, they have had a similar experience in terms of the development process. Both began with a volunteer movement, the organisation of the local community, the formation of civil initiatives, a joint decision-making processes and the existence of participation and consensus. This process conforms to the basic principles of ecomuseology. The ecomuseums have also raised concerns about the loss of rural heritage and the mechanisms for conserving it within the model of the “living” ecomuseum. The most significant fact to emerge from this initial review of the two ecomuseums is that it is not necessarily their ability to conserve fragments of tangible and intangible heritage that is paramount in Turkey, but their importance in providing employment opportunities in rural areas. Originality/value – Ecomuseum movement is a very important and practical model for sustainable development and tourism. Ecomuseums can also be functional tools for protecting of cultural heritage and developing of local areas. Even though Turkey has got many cultural heritage sources, they are not used productively for local sustainable development. The two implementations will be sample to all natural and cultural heritage areas of Turkey for sustainable development.Öğe Determination of Cu contamination in some spring and mineral waters around van by AAS after enrichment of activated carbon(Medwell, 2011) Dağ, Beşir; Kılıçel, FevziSome trace metal contamination in water is a major component in the determination of water quality. In order to supply qualify water for health of human being, terrestiral and aquatic animals is very important. Apparently, tap water and spring water qualities in many countries are effected by industrilization and over population. The main aim of this study was to detect copper metal concentration in some spring and mineral water around Van by means of Atomic Absorption Spectrometer after enrichment of activated carbon. Spring and mineral water samples were collected some different parts of city. These mineral and spring water samples were determined by a simple preconcentration method which is called activated carbon enrichment. The metal analysis was done to detect copper element. It was compared the results with standarts for drinking water quality of World Health Organization (WHO) and Europian Union drinking water standarts. As a result, copper level in the spring and mineral water around Van were generally suitable for the both criterias of World Health Organization (WHO) and Europian Union drinking water.Öğe Ankara-Beypazarı Sekli ve Hırkatepe köylerinde Kızıl Geyikler (Cervus elaphus, Linneaeus 1758) üzerine gözlemler(Bartın Üniversitesi, 2019-04-15) Ulutürk, Servet; Yürümez, GökhanAnkara Beypazarı ilçesine bağlı Sekli ve Hırkatepe köyleri civarında kızıl geyiklerin tespit edildiği 7 farklı gözlem alanında türün yavrulama ve üreme dönemleri dikkate alınarak Mayıs, Haziran, Ağustos, Eylül ve Ekim 2015 aylarında izleme çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir.
