The antimicrobial activity of petroleum ether, acetone, ethanol and water extracts of Pistacia terebinthus gall induced by Slavum aff. mordvilkoi was determined by disc diffusion method. The total phenolic amounts and total flavonoid content were determined as gallic acid and quercetin equivalent, respectively. The antioxidant activities were determined by DPPH, ABTS and CUPRAC methods. All the extracts exhibited antimicrobial activity in different degrees. The highest inhibition zone (14 mm) was recorded by acetone extract against S. aureus, the lowest MIC value (50 µg/ml) was recorded by acetone extract against C. albicans and the lowest MBC value (500 µg/ml) was also recorded by acetone extract against S. aureus and S. pyogenes. In terms of total phenolic content, the richest extract was the acetone extract (204.28 µgGAs/mg extract), while the richest extract in terms of total flavonoid content was ethanol extract (21.21 µgQEs/mg extract). While the petroleum ether extract showed no antioxidant activity, other extracts showed near/high activity to positive controls.
